Dale Friddle age 80 years, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.

Born December 5, 1931 in Wilkinson, Indiana and was the son of the late Ralph and Thelma (Holliday) Friddle.

After graduation from high school, he attended Ball State University & Minnesota Bible College. He holds several degrees from Minnesota Bible College and the Master of Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary. He was ordained to the ministry by the Wilkinson Church of Christ. He ministered to the Cohasset Church of Christ in northern Minnesota and the Sciota, Illinois Christian Church. In 1963 he ministered to the White Bear Lake Church of Christ and taught at Minnesota Bible College. He served the Southeast Christian Church and continued to teach at the college. He ministered with the New Brighton Christian Church and then moved to Rochester to be a professor with the college. He served as Academic Dean for three years.

He is survived by a son, Steve Friddle of Olympia, WA; a daughter, Diane Greeley of Grand Marais, MN; five grandchildren; a sister, Doris Trees of Greenfield and two nieces.

Preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law, Paul Trees.

Funeral services were held on September 19, 2012 in the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Jeff Barton officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.

Dennis C. Campbell, age 69, of Janesville, died on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, after an extended illness at Rock Haven Nursing Home. He was born in Janesville, the son of John J. and Evelyn (Augustine) Campbell. He graduated from Janesville High School, attended Minnesota Bible College, and served in the U.S. Marines. Dennis had been an employee of the Pepsi Cola Corporation and was a member of the Church of Christ Roxbury Road. He and his loyal companion pet, Reefer were well known in the Janesville area.

He is survived by his five sisters: Shirley (Richard) Hazeltine, Patricia Hazeltine, Barbara Campbell all of Janesville, Dixie Pixly of Minong, WI, and Carol (Larry) Hansberry of Beloit; five brothers: Kenneth Campbell of Mt. Hope, AR, Gilmore Campbell of Kenosha, Lloyd Campbell and Dean (Deanna) Campbell, both of Janesville and Larry (Cynthia) Campbell of Brodhead; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Campbell of Janesville; and many nieces and nephews. Dennis spent his last several years with his friends and new family as a resident of Rock Haven. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Jack Campbell, Gary Campbell, and Ronald Campbell; and brother-in-law, Frank Hazeltine.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, Rev. Jon Grice officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Dennis was a kind and gentle person and will be greatly missed by friends and family. 02/22/12Posted

Mary Jo was at her home in Minneota when she was welcomed into heaven on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011.

Funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Jo Kurka, 57, of Minneota, was held at Swan Lake Evangelical Free Church in Cottonwood. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon, Wis.

Mary Jo (Burch) Kurka was born March 31, 1954, in Ladysmith, Wis., to Jim and Ruth (Overhagen) Burch. She grew up on a dairy farm near Sheldon, Wis., and graduated from Flambeau High School in Tony, Wis. Mary Jo received her baccalaureate degree from Minnesota Bible College and obtained her nursing degree from Rochester Community College. On Dec. 27, 1975, she was united in marriage to Gary Kurka in Sheldon, Wis. The couple lived in various communities in Wisconsin, South Dakota and Minnesota before settling in Minneota in 1992. Mary Jo worked as a registered nurse before being diagnosed with ALS in June of 1997. Mary Jo was proud of her career and would often encourage others to consider nursing. She enjoyed visiting with people and took pride in running the household. She loved and appreciated her nurses and aides. Mary Jo was passionate about her faith and her family. Watching her kids play sports was one of her favorite things. She always had a spot open on her lap for a grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Gary, of Minneota; daughter Sara (and Kyle) Strickfaden of Norwood-Young America; grandchildren Grace, Noah, Jack and Kate; son James of Dekalb, Ill., and sons Will, Grant and Ethan of Minneota; parents Jim and Ruth Burch of Ladysmith, Wis.; brother Scott (and Pauline) Burch of Eau Claire, Wis.; sister Chris (and Brian) Tippetts of Holmen, Wis.; brother Bob (and Dutch) Burch of Tomah, Wis., and brother Jeff (and Brenda) Burch of Garretson, S.D.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 02/22/12 Posted

Larry Reynolds (70-72) was elected a deputy to the triennial General Convention of The Episcopal Church (USA) to be held in Indianapolis July 5-12, 2012, where he will serve as part of a ten-member delegation from Minnesota. He is also leading 16 participants on his fifth pilgrimage retreat to the Isle of Iona, off the west coast of Scotland, October 11-22, 2012.
